Tristran has to bite his tongue for a moment because her anger is suddenly grating on his nerves, and that never happens. It's never happened.

"Look."

He shifts.

"I am not being impossible," he tries, voice as even as he can manage. There is still an irritated edge to it that he can't dispel. "I'm just tired, that's all. I've been telling them stories from morning till night. I've been losing my voice over it, and I've barely had any time to sleep."
